When good guys finish last.

Good guys don't always get rewarded. Sometimes they get screwed over and finish last. But for the guy who is truly good, the guy who does things for the right reasons, none of this actually matters. What matters is that they did and continue to do what is guided in them. They did what was truly important to them. They did the stuff that really matters.

I'm not advocating that you become everyone's doormat. What I am advocating for is a strong sense of conviction and authenticity. A steadfastness that always keeps you doing what you truly believe, in your heart of hearts, to be worthwhile and meaningful. The rest means nothing.

Although not getting what you want & feeling beaten up by other's selfishness is painful, truly painful, it is pain  that one can live with.........because at least your soul is intact. Don't allow others to change you into something that you can no longer recognise. If you believe in being intrinsically good & living a life that you are proud of, you should do that......regardless of the outcome.

Human nature makes us self interested and therefore people will always look out for themselves and find a way to justify their actions. Energy spent trying to change others, to mould them or even to influence them, is much better spent elsewhere. Live and let live. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are and most importantly.....Do you!
